Metro Stop: Concorde
The Place de la Concorde, previously known as the Place de la Revolution as it was where one of the guillotines was set up, is located at the western end of the Tuileries Gardens, before the Champs Elysees.
The Obelisque, which was given to France by Egypt, sits in the center of this opulant square. To the north you can see the Madeleine, to the east the Louvre, to the west the Arc de Triomphe and to the south west the Eiffel Tower. Beautiful fountains match the grandeur of the place.
