Metro Stop: Anvers or Abbesses

This square in Montmartre, behind the Sacré Coeur, is so full of tourists and painters hustling for a sale that it makes you want to run away. Try to go in the early morning when it is empty and you can get a feel for what Montmartre is like without the crowds that arrive by the busload by the late morning. Empty, it is really beautiful.
